Here is some good information to get prepared for the photo session
1. If possible, do not use any oils or lotions on the baby on the morning of the shoot. Don't worry about your baby having quite flaky skin; I will edit all the dry skin.
2. Try to keep the baby awake on the morning of the session as much as possible before the session starts.
3. If possible, start feeding the baby when I arrive.

- 4. Try to have a really tired, hungry baby who is undressed (just have diapers on) and wrapped in a cozy blanket. This way, we can get a lovely milky sleepy baby that we can pose and work with.
- 5. If the baby is bottle-fed, please prepare extra bottles because it's comfortable and helps hydrate the baby.
- 6. If the baby is breastfed, please prepare a bottle of pumped milk ready to use.
- 7. Keep the room temperature around 72-74 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 8. I will bring all my props, but if you would like to include some of your own, I'm totally open to that.
- 9. If you have any pets, please vacuum the area for the studio setup.
- 10. If you would like to have some family/siblings/pet photos, that would be the first or last thing I will do.

FAQ
When is the best time to schedule a newborn session?
The ideal time for a newborn session is within the first 3 weeks of your baby’s life. During this period, babies are typically sleepier and more amenable to posing, which helps us capture those adorable, curled-up images.
How long does a newborn photo session last?
A typical newborn session lasts between 2 to 4 hours. This allows plenty of time for feeding, comforting, and changing the baby as needed to ensure they are comfortable and happy throughout the session.
What should we bring to the session?
We recommend bringing extra diapers, wipes, and any special outfits or props you’d like to include. Additionally, a pacifier can be helpful even if your baby doesn’t usually use one, as it can help soothe them during the session.
What if my baby is fussy or needs to be fed?
Don’t worry! We schedule ample time for feeding, comforting, and changing the baby as needed. Your baby’s comfort and safety are our top priorities, and we will take breaks whenever necessary.
How soon will we receive our photos?
You will typically receive your edited photos within 2 to 3 weeks after the session. We take great care in editing to ensure each image is perfect and captures the beauty of your newborn.
What should we wear?
Neutral, soft colors work best for parents and siblings to keep the focus on the baby. Avoid bold patterns or logos that can distract from the baby. Simple, coordinated outfits create a timeless look.
How should we prepare the baby?
Try to keep your baby awake for an hour or so before the session to ensure they are sleepy during the photoshoot. Feeding the baby right before the session also helps them stay calm and content.
Can siblings and parents be included in the photos?
Absolutely! We encourage including family members in some of the photos to capture the joy and connection of this special time. We typically start with family and sibling shots and then focus on the baby.
Do you provide props and outfits for the baby?
Yes, we have a variety of props, wraps, blankets, and outfits specifically designed for newborn photography. You are also welcome to bring any special items you’d like to include in the photos.
How do we book a session?
You can book a session by contacting us directly via phone, email, or through our website. We recommend scheduling your session as early as possible, ideally while you are still pregnant, to ensure availability.
